About HEAT Blockchain
Heat Wallet is developed by the creators of the HEAT Blockchain, a high-performance blockchain live since January 2017. HEAT uses Proof-of-Stake (PoS) and was built from scratch with a focus on processing speed. It features a unique, super-fast storage engine written in Java, utilizing a combination of hash tables and memory-mapped files for efficient blockchain operations.
HEAT Blockchain also includes a built-in decentralized exchange (DEX) with order book support, allowing anyone to create markets between HEAT and any user-defined asset, as well as between assets.
HEAT DEX & Block Explorer
The heat-ui project is HEAT’s open-source desktop and browser-based trading and block explorer interface. This wallet app is available as a browser application and can be installed on your desktop. The wallet comes in two modes:
Light Mode: Connects to public API servers.
Full Mode: Includes an embedded version of the HEAT blockchain server, allowing you to run a full node on your desktop.

The Heat Wallet app is built to support various “flavors,” allowing us to create uniquely branded editions of Heat Wallet to serve specific audiences. One such audience is the FIMK Blockchain project, for which we created the Markka.com wallet.
